Meet Rain

I helped create this publication because supporting young athletes requires more than developing physical performance. It also demands intentional attention to mindset, habits, and the emotional stability that allows families to move through the journey together with clarity and confidence.

My professional path has included service in the United States Army, work as a mental health counselor, and my current role as a flight attendant with a major airline. Across each of these experiences, one truth has remained constant: the way we think, adapt, and respond to adversity shapes the outcomes we create in life.

Through counseling and neuroscience-based practices, I help parents and athletes better understand how the brain forms habits, how healthier thought patterns are developed, and how stress, pressure, and conflict can be managed more effectively. When negative thinking is replaced with intentional, productive habits, the impact can be felt not only in athletic performance, but in everyday life.

My goal is to help families cultivate emotional awareness, stronger communication, and the mental resilience needed to thrive both on and off the field.

Because when families learn how to manage pressure, build meaningful habits, and support one another well, young athletes are positioned to grow, compete, and perform at their fullest potential.

Meet Redd

I co-founded this publication after seeing the same issue play out time and again in youth sports: talented athletes and committed parents trying to navigate the recruiting process without clear, honest guidance. Families invest enormous time, energy, and resources into the pursuit of opportunity, yet many are never given a real understanding of how the college recruiting pathway actually works. Get Seen Magazine was created to help close that gap and provide parents with the insight they deserve.

For more than 15 years, I have worked in youth athletics as a senior director of a sports complex, player development coach, and basketball scout and evaluator. That work has given me the opportunity to identify and assess talent across multiple levels of the game, while also revealing an important reality: the difference between a good player and a recruitable player is not always obvious, and too many families are left without the right information at the right time.

My mission is straightforward—to help parents understand where their athlete stands and which steps truly matter in the recruiting process.

Before dedicating my work to youth sports, I served in the United States Army. That experience shaped the values that continue to guide everything I do: integrity, discipline, and service to others. Those principles are the foundation of this magazine and the reason our purpose is not simply to inform families, but to serve them well.

At its core, this platform is here to help parents answer two essential questions:

  • Is my athlete recruitable?

  • Are they on the right path to becoming recruitable?
